Iedere eerste dag van de maand houden wij een veiling met unieke stukken. Kavels worden toegevoegd tot en met de 15e van de maand ervoor en bieden is telkens mogelijk vanaf de 16e.
Nieuwe openingstijden voor onze winkel in Haarlem: di t/m za 10-17u*.
* Op zaterdag wordt niet gewerkt in ons postzegelmagazijn waardoor op die dag in de winkel gekochte zegels niet altijd direct meegenomen kunnen worden.
Postzegels van het thema Apen
Soms wordt de aap als huisdier gehouden. Deze lieve schattige aapjes worden regelmatig meegesmokkeld naar huis, maar al gauw blijkt dat het onhoudbare wilde dieren zijn. Het grootste opvanghuis van Europa is Stichting Aap. Zij vangen jaarlijks tientallen apen op.
Enkele weetjes over apen:
De Rhesus Makaak wordt vaak als proefdier gebruikt in laboratoria. De aap komt voor in de 12-jarige cyclus van de Chinese dierenriem. Apenhersenen worden gegeten als delicatesse in China en Afrika en Zuidoost Azië. Het Islamitische geloof daarentegen verbiedt het eten van aap. Het symbool voor kattenkwaad is: de aap.
